More choppers for Pawan Hans

Pawan Hans Helicopters has purchased seven new AS 365 N3 Dauphins.
 

March 4: Eurocopter announced at India Aviation 2010 at Hyderabad that Pawan Hans Helicopters, the largest civil helicopter operator in India, has purchased seven new AS 365 N3 Dauphin helicopters, taking its fleet to 33.

Pawan Hans began operating Dauphin helicopters in India in 1986. Since then, the company has logged over 340,142 flying hours with its fleet and over one and a half million landings flying personnel to offshore platforms, shuttle flights between drill barges and for transport of state officials and VIPs.

The new aircraft will be delivered in a 12-passenger configuration with a complete offshore mission package including Helicopter Emergency Egress Lighting (HEEL), emergency floatation gear with automatic percussion, automatic deployable emergency locator transmitters, life rafts and health monitoring systems.
